The product I design is made with line cord which is a common product we can see in many families house. There is a problem with these line cords - after a period of time, these line cords will get old, and become easily break. Majority of us will just throw them away. Thus, a large number of these line cords will be discarded with trash and then buried into the soil.

So, I think of using the unused line cord to produce somthing useful. For instance, fruit basket. The shape of this fruit basket is based on the way how plant growing. The bottom is like root, and the small circle is like branch that cover around. The fruit that is placed inside will look like it is growing out from the fruit basket.
i think the way you joined the cords to form this basket is beautiful well done it looks amazing in your poster and i love how you have based it on the figure of a growing plant. You have transformed an ordinary material into an extraordinary product :)
ReplyDeleteI think you've done a good job compiling the cords. And the way you thought of the concept of sprouting the fruits from inside the basket was brilliant. Indeed cords are a huge waste in the society, and it's very annoying to have these abandoned cords lying around in a house creating a huge mess.. So good job with the choice of material!
ReplyDeleteI really like the way you have turned an industrial material into a beautiful product! At first glance I did not see the pieces of cord which i think why the overall product is beautiful. I like the way each piece is joined and the craft looks really well executed.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea and thought behind the growth of the basket through the sense of a flower. The line cord you have chosen to upcycle is one that is constantly being upgraded or discarded. A suggestion to improve your product it to explore different techniques of weaving or shaping the cord to create a bowl. Otherwise great work.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful fruit basket, i like the way you made it that the patten is growing like a flower opening. The cotton line connection also seems environmentally friendly. However, maybe a larger basket will be batter coz it may show the transit of patten more obvious.
ReplyDeleteLike the way you do this.
ReplyDeleteIf u could improve ur poster, that would be better for the process.
i really like the shap of your design. the whole product giving a feeling of nature. also the way you joined each piece together is every well transformed the waw material into an new product
